Scarlett Johansson, Cate Blanchett, REM and Jodi Picoult are among a range of of Hollywood stars, musicians and authors backing a contemporary campaign accusing AI companies of “theft” of their work.

The “Stealing Isn’t Innovation” pressure launched on Thursday with the increase of roughly 800 artistic mavens and bands. The campaign contains a press open accusing tech companies of using American creators’ work to “develop AI platforms with out authorisation or regard for copyright law”.
